Enriching Websites via Progressive Enhancement.

The home page will render differently depending on whether Javascript is enabled or not. Please note that this is a demonstration site and is not how I would build the site ordinarily! Its purpose is to demonstrate a technique.

Personally, I would not usually use dropdown boxes, and certainly not in response to a hover event. For one thing, it renders the site completely unusable on an iPhone or iPad.

In this instance, it was useful to show how a site could be rendered differently without Javascript, while also highlighting some issues with Javascript event handling that were more prominent using dropboxes with the hover event.
